IBPS Clerk / CSA Cutoff and Merit

Cutoff and Merit

IBPS determines sectional and overall qualifying cutoffs according to the applicable recruitment process. Candidates must satisfy the required standards in the Preliminary Examination to progress to the Main Examination.

For final merit and provisional allotment, the Main Examination is the relevant merit stage. In CSA-XV, IBPS published State or Union Territory and category-wise maximum and minimum Main Examination scores for provisional allotment, with the allotment scores expressed out of 100 after the prescribed score treatment.

Do not confuse different cutoff figures

  • Preliminary cutoff: used for shortlisting and may include sectional and overall thresholds.
  • Main Examination cutoff: used in the merit and allotment process.
  • Allotment score: the score shown in IBPS provisional-allotment documentation for the relevant State or Union Territory and category.

Historical cutoff figures belong to their own cycle, State or Union Territory and category. They should not be treated as a prediction for CSA-XVI.
