Technician Grade I Signal

General Awareness

Current affairs, Indian geography, culture and history of India including freedom struggle, polity and constitution, Indian economy, environmental issues, sports, general scientific and technological developments and other relevant general awareness topics.

General Intelligence and Reasoning

Analogies, alphabetical and number series, coding and decoding, mathematical operations, relationships, syllogism, jumbling, Venn diagrams, data interpretation, conclusions, decision making, analytical reasoning, classification, directions, statement and arguments and statement and assumptions.

Basics of Computers and Applications

Computer architecture, input and output devices, storage devices, operating systems, networking, internet, MS Office, computer applications, computer security and common computer terminology.

Mathematics

Number system, BODMAS, decimals, fractions, LCM, HCF, ratio and proportion, percentages, mensuration, time and work, time and distance, simple and compound interest, profit and loss, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, elementary statistics and related quantitative concepts.

Basic Science and Engineering

Basic concepts of physics, chemistry and engineering relevant to the technical qualification, including electricity, measurements, units, work and energy, heat, power, basic electronics, materials and related engineering fundamentals.

Technician Grade III

Mathematics

Number system, BODMAS, decimals, fractions, LCM, HCF, ratio and proportion, percentage, mensuration, time and work, time and distance, simple and compound interest, profit and loss, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and elementary statistics.

General Intelligence and Reasoning

Analogies, series, coding and decoding, mathematical operations, relationships, syllogism, Venn diagrams, analytical reasoning, classification, directions, conclusions and decision making.

General Science

Physics, chemistry and life sciences at approximately the 10th standard level.

General Awareness

Current affairs, Indian geography, culture and history, polity, economy, sports, scientific developments and other relevant general awareness topics.

Technical Qualification

For Technician Grade III, trade-specific qualification requirements are prescribed separately in the post-wise parameters and the syllabus/technical requirements correspond to the relevant trade.
