Admissions

Admission is programme-specific. IIT Kanpur's official admissions pages describe undergraduate B.Tech./BS entry through JEE (Advanced), and postgraduate/research admissions through programme-specific processes; M.Tech. and research routes may require relevant qualifying degrees and examinations such as GATE or other tests depending on the programme. Department-specific eligibility can exceed the general minimums. Applicants should follow the current official notice for their programme and academic session.
