Placements

IIST maintains a Centre for Career Guidance and Placements. The institute states that graduates pursue opportunities with ISRO and other space organizations. Eligible undergraduate and dual-degree graduates may be considered for Scientist/Engineer 'SC' recruitment by ISRO/Department of Space against notified vacancies and after meeting the relevant academic criteria and selection process. The institute's website reports 1,442+ alumni placed in ISRO; this is an institute-published cumulative figure, not a current-year placement rate.
