Eligibility varies by programme and level. The university publishes diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral options; applicants should consult the current official admissions portal for the specific programme’s academic prerequisites, minimum marks, selection process, documents, fees and deadlines. Do not rely on a general university-wide threshold for every course.

The university’s current overview describes Bahra University (Shimla Hills) as established in 2011 under Himachal Pradesh state legislation and states that it has been approved by the UGC and has been an Association of Indian Universities member since 2015. An older Ministry of Education university report records 2010 as the establishment year; the precise legal commencement year should therefore be checked against the governing Act or official statutory record. The university’s published academic portfolio includes professional and general programmes at diploma, UG, PG and doctoral levels.
