Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association

The Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) is a professional association of private postgraduate colleges in Karnataka. It was established in 2003 to support professional education and streamline admission to postgraduate programmes such as MBA, PGDM and MCA in member institutions. KPPGCA conducts the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT), an entrance examination used by participating AICTE-approved and university-affiliated self-financing institutions. KMAT is open to eligible candidates from across India and is particularly relevant to candidates seeking management and computer-application programmes in Karnataka.

KPPGCA was established on 29 January 2003 in response to the need for a professional body that could support postgraduate professional education and streamline admissions to MBA, PGDM and MCA programmes. The association subsequently developed KMAT as a common entrance examination for participating self-financing institutions in Karnataka.
