Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala

The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE Kerala) is the Government of Kerala authority responsible for conducting entrance examinations and centralized allotment for a wide range of professional undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Its major admission systems include KEAM for engineering, architecture, medical and allied professional courses, KMAT Kerala for MBA admission, and entrance or allotment processes for law, Ayurveda, homoeopathy, nursing, dental, pharmacy and other programmes. CEE Kerala operates a centralized allotment system through which eligible candidates register options and receive course and college allotments according to the applicable rules.

The Entrance Commissionerate was established in 1983 through Government Order GO(MS) No.31/83/HEDn dated 19 February 1983. Its mandate was to conduct entrance examinations and allot candidates to professional undergraduate and postgraduate courses on the basis of merit and applicable reservation rules. Its responsibilities have expanded to cover a broad range of professional admissions and centralized allotment services.

The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations operates under the Higher Education Department of the Government of Kerala. It manages examination administration, candidate portals, centralized allotment and programme-specific admission systems, coordinating with participating professional institutions and relevant government authorities.
