About Bihar Public Service Commission
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is the constitutional public service commission responsible for recruitment to specified services and posts under the Government of Bihar. It conducts competitive examinations, interviews and other selection processes according to the recruitment rules applicable to individual posts and services.
BPSC is widely known for its Integrated Combined Competitive Examination (CCE), which is used for recruitment to specified Bihar state services. The Commission also conducts recruitment for a much wider range of positions, including teacher posts, judicial services, administrative and technical positions, statistical posts, clerical positions and other specialist vacancies when notified.
The BPSC website provides examination calendars, advertisements, application information, admit-card resources, examination programmes, results, notices and corrigenda. Its examination calendar is particularly useful for candidates because it shows the stages of major recruitment processes and indicates tentative dates for preliminary examinations, mains/written examinations, interviews and final results.
Candidates should not assume that every BPSC examination follows the same pattern. The number of stages, syllabus, eligibility requirements, vacancy distribution and selection method are determined by the individual recruitment advertisement.
